About Us

Our Commitment

We know that our background and experience are important to our clients. Our goals of combining high standards of practice with ethical integrity are supported by memberships in the National Association of Certified Home Inspectors, American Society of Home Inspectors, and the Montana Association of Real Estate Inspectors. Although not required by Montana Law, our internal standards dictate that we provide service that is insured by two different kinds of insurance, general liability and Errors and Omissions. This provision is an integral part of our service because it provides protection to both you and your Realtor.

We are committed to providing you with the highest quality inspection experience available. Impeccable customer service is at the core of our organizational philosophy because you, as a client, are central to everything we do. Your interests are our interests before, during, and after the inspection. Protecting you and your equity is our highest value.

Ascension Home Inspection

Paul’s education, experience, and analytical nature contribute to a keen understanding of the situations that come to comprise a building’s physical makeup and condition. He has built many houses from foundation to finish and taken apart structures in extensive remodels. So, he has seen the effects of good and bad design, accepted and questionable building practices, effects of poor maintenance, and how these variables contribute to the degradation of structures and components over time. This ability to observe the synergy of a home’s systems, with particular attention to the effects of time, is what good inspection is all about. Paul’s multifaceted background also contributes to stellar oral and written communication with clients and Realtors which furthers our end of exceptional customer service and satisfaction.

Comparing Services

In a largely unregulated industry, many people without specific credentials relating to home inspection offer services. Some credentials are simply obtained by paying dues to distant organizations. Montana is currently a state without certification or licensing requirements for Real Estate Inspectors. When you are collecting information about which home inspector to hire you should consider asking these questions:
  1. What did you do prior to becoming a home inspector?
  2. Are you a member of a national home inspection organization where active membership requires a commitment to both a clearly defined set of inspection standards and a code of ethics? If so, which one?  They are not all the same.
  3. As a professional, do you carry E & O (Errors and Omissions Insurance)? And if so, are my realtor and I both named as beneficiaries?
Generally speaking, you get what you pay for. Our written contract clearly delineates what is included in the inspection and any limitations that apply. Our inspections will take 2 to 4 hours to finish. We feel that any less time would be inadequate. Our report is customized to your individual property and includes a summary of critical findings and contains the information you need to familiarize your family with your new home’s controls and safety features.
